AWA-Shima was launched 15 years ago as a corporate brand of a group of world fishing tackle manufacturers. The manufacturers mutually agreed to extend their original activities which were based on OEM relationships and use all their combined knowledge and all the latest technologies to present a brand that would reflect their commitment and passion for angling. They were driven by their determination to offer high quality products which could fulfill the needs of all anglers regardless of age, experience or regional traditions, thereby contributing to the enjoyment they would gain from their favourite hobby.
The company AWA-SHIMA EUROPE Ltd was established in 2002 as a logical step forward with aspirations to find a direct way to serve you the European angler and fulfill our desire to establish long term respects and partnerships.
We could not find any better location for our commercial activities than Slovakia, which personifies a strategic point of two different angling worlds, cultures and traditions.
From this small country right in the heart of Europe we are in a position to enforce the new spirit and our philosophies to the whole of Europe. The Spirit is to produce a brand that has been created by anglers for anglers. Our main target and aim is to create a fast connection using all the wealth of our innovative engineering skills combined with "the sixth angling sense" to bring you products that will fulfill and gratify your every angling expectation.
During our short time in the European market we strive to become a brand for all anglers, regardless if you are young, old, beginner or the more experienced. Quite simply a brand for all to enjoy.
